C&T Train 215
The final big event of this trip was riding Train 215 from Antonito to Chama. All of us except for Ben had done this at least once before. Ben was suitably impressed... as I knew he would be. |

After another dinner at the High Country, I went back down to the yard for a last look around. With the new baby arriving soon, it may be several years before I return. |

One of my deepest desires is to walk through Chama Yard a few years from now listening to the sound of cinders crunching under tiny boots and seeing the face of my son light up with wonder at the sight of a steam locomotive rolling by hissing steam and belching the pungent aroma of coal smoke...
Could Heaven be any better than that?
