My N Scale Version of the Route from Malta, CO to Minturn, CO
29 January 2011
Another weekend of work... and not enough accomplished. |
My first helix... a work-in-progress. This will connect the upper and lower levels on the east side of Tennessee Pass. |
On the upper level is Tennessee Pass. The lower level is Belden Mine. The furthest left track (foam ROW) on the upper shelf is the western approach to the tunnel at the pass. The 3 "yard tracks" are the eastern side of the pass. The 2 small chunks of foam at the far right denote where the eastern portal will be. The entire loop will be hidden by the mountain and tunnel. |
Looking west in the Tennessee Pass Yard towards the eastern portal. DRGW SD40T-2 5344 waits patiently for me to FINISH! |
Looking the other direction from the photos above. The chunks of foam on the right denote the western portal of Tennessee Pass Tunnel. A thick grove of trees will separate the sections of ROW here. |
The lower shelf is the Minturn Yard Lead. The upper shelf (depot) is Pando / Camp Potter (Camp Hale). |
Satisfied that I'd laid this out correctly, I glued the foam down and set weights on it. |
