My N Scale Version of the Route from Malta, CO to Minturn, CO
28 November 2008
Later Thanksgiving week I made more progress. Of course, I didn't get as far as I wanted, but the ball has been advanced further this week than in all of the past 2 years. I'm making a concerted effort to work at least 10 minutes per day on the layout. NO MORE weeks and months without progress! |
Minturn Yard |
Looking west in Minturn Yard. Note that the wall supporting the grade to the upper level is finished. Securing the foam inclines will follow later |
A trio of EMD SD40T-2's await a call to action that will eventually come... I hope by summer 2011 |
The upper shelf here will be the tunnel at Tennessee Pass. The lower shelf will be the town of Red Cliff. |
The east throat of Minturn Yard. The Kato Snap-Track is temporary. Eventually the entire yard will be finished with Atlas flex track and Peco turnouts. |
The lower level is the approach to Belden Mine. The upper level is the line continuing past Belden and towards Red Cliff (in the corner). |

The lower shelf here will eventually be the Belden Mine. The upper shelf will show Camp Hale. However, I'm taking some creative license and making it a Marine Base and not Army. I'm a little biased. SEMPER FI! |
